FEELING FUNNY MUMS
Open to: Mums and Mummy's to be!
Laughter is the best medicine or at least that’s what they say!
Feeling Funny Mums is now in it's second year thanks for funding from the Postcode Community Trust. Our programme of activities aims to address and highlight some of the issues affecting mums and mums-to-be who have experienced perinatal depression &/or anxiety, or who might be at risk of experiencing it in the future.
Using humour and laughter in a sensitive and supportive way, the Feeling Funny Mums programme aims to:
Improve the confidence and well being of mums
Help mums to recognise they aren't alone in what they are going, or have gone, through
Empower mums to speak more openly about some of the issues they have experienced
Help mums to combat self-discrimination and discrimination and stigma surrounding perinatal mental illness
Our programme consists of three exciting elements including:
Well Funny sessions: These fun and interactive sessions use comedy as a tool to combat stress and any anxious feelings mums and mums to be are experiencing.
Laughter and Wellbeing Drop In Group: A drop-in group that is open to mums who may be at risk of poor mental health, low mood, anxiety and stress. Join us for a fun, relaxed and giggle worthy time every second and fourth Wednesday of the month!
7 Week Stand-Up Comedy Course: Ever wanted to try your hand at stand up comedy? Are you a new mum or mum to be who would love to give it a go? Join us on our 7 week stand up comedy programme!

"For me Feeling Funny Mums Club is a great way to relieve stress and anxiety that I carry as a Mum. It's a non-judgemental space where we can be open and honest about our feelings or our mistakes and share our embarassing moments"
