We are delighted to launch our #ComedyCracker campaign. At The Comedy Trust, we spend the year ‘creating happier, healthier people‘ so this Christmas we want you to help us spread happiness and laughter during the festive season.
Following on from last week’s blog post on ‘Comedy at Christmas’, we sat down and thought about what unites people at Christmastime. In the end we realised that nothing bonds people more than a good old-fashioned cracker joke. There is something about awful humour that unites us and so, we went out and filmed people telling some of the cheesiest jokes imaginable.
The end result was great and I couldn’t stop laughing as I edited and listened to the jokes again and again and again. And again. Even after finishing filming some of the jokes, we could hear the participants retelling the jokes to other people afterwards which is what this campaign is all about. It also shows how well the campaign works.
