My First Day

My First Day

Jessie

Hey everyone, my name is Jessie and I am the new Marketing and PR intern at The Comedy Trust! I am so excited to get involved with The Comedy Trust because they are such a great organisation. After only 7 short hours here I have learnt so much and feel as if I am on my way to becoming a marketing genius.

My first day at The Comedy Trust has mostly consisted of getting a feel for what the organisation is all about. I have been able to analyse our social media accounts, a hugely important aspect of marketing and PR. Of course I had to tweet some gifs, because who doesn’t love a gif? You can take a look at all the (hilarious) tweets @thecomedytrust on Twitter!

I set up a Pinterest account for The Comedy Trust. Pinterest is a great platform to drive traffic and is becoming one of the fastest growing social networks. The Pinterest page will be great for promoting pins about mental health awareness, not to mention how awesome their foodie pins are.

I have also learned a lot about email marketing. This is something I have never looked into until now. Email marketing enabled me to use platforms such as MailChimp which allows you to create and edit email content that will be sent to our subscribers. I was able to play around with the content and see which information our subscribers would want to know about first.

And finally, being able to write blog posts for The Comedy Trust blog page will allow me to develop my writing skills and perhaps even my comedy skills with some of the punny jokes I have lined up for you all!

Thanks for reading! I am excited to learn a lot more over my time here and I hope you will be tuning in to hear more about it!

Jessie
