Laughter Is The Best Medicine

When you think of comedy, what do you think about in particular?

Most people automatically assume comedy in relation to stand-up or even the Netflix genre. Yet comedy is so much more than that. Comedy is in everything we do! It is a universal language we all understand, which is why it needs more recognition.

Even though some people aren't huge fans of stand-up comedy, there is something special about simply listening to comedy. Whether it's for 10 minutes, or an hour, it is great to leave the world of politics behind and to laugh to the point where you can actively feel a six-pack developing. However painful it may be, it is one of the best feelings in the world!

Comedy is also part of our day-to-day lives. Whether it's going to meet friends over a coffee, which would never be the same without the hilarious story about your best friend getting far too drunk the weekend before. Or, maybe it's that massively relatable meme you have been tagging your friends in. Whatever the case may be, we are as a society, are enthralled with comedy.

Another important aspect of comedy is how it is crucial to our health and well-being. It can boost our mood and even help us through the darkest of times. There has been research stating that laughter and comedy can help with mental illness, such as anxiety and depression. They don't say 'laughter in the best medicine' for nothing!

We would love to hear any stories or jokes you have to spread the laughter - comment below!
