Feeling Funny Youth
Open to: Ages 11 - 18
Helping young people take an advanced step into the arts world...
Feeling Funny Club is the comedy child of organisation's bespoke mental health and wellbeing centred course Feeling Funny. The club bridges the gap between clubs on the national circuit and the end of the Feeling Funny Club for graduates whilst providing young people with a platform to continue supporting their mental health and wellbeing alongside like-minded peers.
Taking place twice a month, every month, Feeling Funny Youth Club is dedicated to helping budding young comedians develop and hone their craft by providing a platform in which they can practise their skills in a safe and friendly environment. Each session is accompanied by advice and guidance from comedians from the professional comedy circuit.
The club provides a safe environment that encourages individuals to continue using humour between sessions as a way of building personal resilience. The laughter shared in these sessions help participants build new connections, friendships and encourage communications amongst the group.
** We would like to thank the Liverpool One Foundation and Garfield Weston Foundation for making the Feeling Funny Youth programme a possibility. Without their funding we would have been unable to branch our and extend our mental health offer to young people across Merseyside

CLUB DATES 2020
“As a teenager the Stand Out course was completely inspiring opening my eyes to the possibility of a creative career, something which had previously been unimaginable. The benefits of instilling confidence and encouraging creativity at such a fractious age are immeasurable; graduates can expect to come away as much stronger characters with a multitude of transferable life skills not just applicable to performing. For me Stand Out was the catalyst that set me on a path of writing and performing which has ultimately led to my current job role nearly ten years down the line.”
